Description

Solvitol Hand Applied Metal Cutting Fluids are three products that have been designed to provide optimum lubrication during the metal cutting operation and so extend tool life and improve surface finish.

All of these products are chlorine free and comply with the current EU requirements for these lubricants.

Applications

Solvitol Hand Applied Metal Cutting Fluids are suitable for use on all metals and are designed to cope with tough and difficult to cut materials. They can be used for all metal cutting operations, especially drilling, tapping, die thread cutting, hobbing, reaming etc. The choice of pack dispenser and product is a matter of personal preference relative to the job in hand.

The Products

Solvitol Metal Cutting Liquid (LUB100)

This is a synthetic lubricant containing extreme pressure additives. It is nitrite free and contains corrosion inhibitors ensuring maximum protection to both workpiece and tool. It is normally manually applied to both the workpiece and the tool at frequent intervals during the metal cutting operation. The product is supplied in an easy to use 500ml squeezy bottle and 5Ltr containers for top-up or brush application.

Solvitol Metal Cutting Compound (LUB97)

This is a sulphurised and chlorinated compound with exceptional thermal stability and load carrying capacity. Its soft consistency facilitates application by brush. The product is supplied in tins of 500g and 5kg.

Solvitol Metal Cutting Spray (CTF)

This is a 400ml aerosol pack version of Solvitol Metal Cutting Liquid and the sprayed product will have the same performance. The convenience of using a spray is apparent when applying it to moving tools and avoiding direct physical contact. It is also useful for dead hole applications and similar situations such as die boxes.
